METEOR Environment & Sustainability (E&S) Awareness Campaign
FACULTY & RESEARCH

This campaign known more as a ‘kick-start’ initiative that consist of several awareness programmes that coupled with activities designed to expand team members’ knowledge in conserving energy, carbon foot print, recycling, nature, and team work. The campaign also touches on the sustainability efforts being observed and placed by corporate companies.

WHAT is the campaign all about?
The goal of METEOR’s environment and sustainability campaign is to assist organisation engage their employees directly to understand how their actions can contribute in achieving enhanced environmental performance.

With the recent explosion of all things “green,” leading organisations are recognising the valuable, indeed essential, role their employees play in aligning day-to-day operations with corporate values regarding the environment and sustainability. While environmental management used to be the province of specialists, responding to environmental challenges is now so fundamental to an organisation success that environmental knowledge cannot be isolated within an organisation, but must be pervasive. In other words, all jobs are green jobs.

In a troubled economy, businesses are looking for every possible way to cut costs. By engaging employees, organisations can spark innovative changes in everyday business processes that save expenses and reduce environmental and social impacts while also inspiring employees to make sustainable choices at home and in their communities. And yet, many organisations are not entirely sure how to effectively educate and involve employees in corporate environmental activities.

In response to growing interest in this timely topic within both public and private sector, METEOR together with MANAGEMENT dialogue™ Centre of Corporate Responsibility have researched and studied the issue, draw out a brief campaign plan on how organisations can approach on internal environment and sustainability (E&S) education and engagement effectively within its current setting and personnel.
